So the prototype continues to develop and is more entertaining than we could have hoped for.
There is a concern that the gameplay may become a little repetitive with the cycle of reanimating undead, setting them loose on your enemies and reanimating the corpses of your enemies to bolster the strength of your undead army. I know, how could you ever get tired of that?
Your minions will level up automatically and become more valuable, more skillful killing machines but are largely autonomous. You don't have much say in how they look or the skills they use.
This is by design so that the player is able to focus on the action without level up screens and other distractions breaking the gameplay flow.
However, we can stand a little of flow breakage right?
What if you had a Golem minion that could be summoned at will that has devastating attacks and astounding fortitude to absorb enemy attacks?
Imagine a Blood Golem with a vampiric aura that leeches the health from nearby enemies and distributes it amongst all your minions. Imagine a Flesh Golem with a poisonous aura that weakens nearby enemies.
What if you could customise the appearance and skills of your golem as you see fit?
Imagine Crystal Shards jutting out of your golem's back that gives it a high resistance to magic. Imagine Bone Spikes protruding from golum's fists that deals additional physical damage?
Of course such a powerful minion would require a lot of mana and many souls to summon and would only be able to be sustained for a short time.
Suddenly the dynamics of combat are drastically changed.
is this something you'd like to see in the game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
